Summary

Profile

Eleven years turning dense spatial information into interfaces that surveyors, planners and logistics teams can trust at a glance.

I work at the point where research, interaction design and data meet. I'm happiest sitting with field teams, sketching with engineers and tightening a design system until every map layer, legend and filter behaves the same way. I want to lead design for a product where location is the core of the experience, not a feature bolted on.

My approach is calm and evidence-led: frame the decision people actually need to make, prototype early against real data, and ship in small, measurable steps.

Evidence

Selected work

Field survey app

Offline capture for utility inspectors

Problem: Inspectors lost work when coverage dropped, and they didn't trust the sync status.

Contribution: I led research in the field, redesigned the capture flow around clear offline states and defined the sync patterns used across three apps.

Planning platform

Layer system for urban planners

Problem: Planners stacked dozens of layers with conflicting symbols and couldn't read the result.

Contribution: I built a shared cartographic token set, an accessible colour ramp library and a legend component the whole product now uses.

Logistics console

Route exceptions at a glance

Problem: Dispatchers had to scan tables to find delayed routes.

Contribution: I designed a map-first exception view with progressive detail, tested it with dispatch leads and worked with engineering on a staged rollout.
